Smart Form Filler Privacy Policy

Smart Form Filler is a Chrome extension for developers and testers that fills visible web forms with deterministic test data.

Local data handling

When the user explicitly activates the extension, it temporarily reads the structure and current state of visible form controls on the active page. This processing happens locally in the browser and is used only to classify fields, preserve existing values when configured, insert test values, and report the result in the extension popup.

Form values and page content are not retained after the fill operation. The extension stores only local preferences, such as whether existing values may be overwritten, using Chromium extension storage.

Smart Form Filler does not transmit website content or form data off the user's device. It does not collect browsing history or usage analytics.

Permissions

• activeTab provides temporary access to the active page after a user gesture.
• scripting injects the packaged form-filling logic into that active page.
• storage saves extension preferences locally.

The extension does not use remotely hosted code, analytics, advertising, tracking, or a backend service.

Sensitive controls

Smart Form Filler intentionally skips CAPTCHA, payment and banking fields, OTP and security-code fields, and file uploads. It never submits a form automatically.

Data sharing and retention

Website content and form data are processed only to provide the extension's single form-filling purpose. This data is not sold or transferred to third parties, used for unrelated purposes or advertising, used to determine creditworthiness or for lending, retained by the developer, or made available for human review.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated and the revised policy will be published at this URL.
